YourRelease and Take2 go mobile for gamers

Wireless marketing company, YourRelease Ltd (YR), has made its first venture into the games market, providing a powerful new SMS messaging promotion route for Take2 games. YR will be handling the backend systems for the distribution of mobile phone ringtones and logos for the Take2Europe website, allowing visitors to the site to get a ‘GTA3' or ‘State of Emergency' Ringtone or logo free of charge when they join the Take2 club.

YR has enjoyed considerable success in the music industry over the last 18 months providing SMS marketing solutions for record labels and promoters. "We are exceptionally pleased to be moving into the games industry" says PR and Marketing manager Seth Jackson, "particularly with a publisher of the standing of Take2. The games market is exceptionally well suited to our brand of mobile marketing and we are looking forward to working on some really creative uses of the medium."

"We've had many requests for mobile ringtones from our game music, and we are now overjoyed to bring these free ringtones to our fans." Says Take2's Online Marketing Manager Julian Hoddy, "Working with Your Release to provide all the technical workings has been a breeze, with a functioning system being implemented into our website extremely quickly. Due to this, we are already looking into bringing even more free services for mobile users."
YR already has a database in excess of 120,000 under 25yr old music fans, all who have opted–in for mobile and e-mail contact. It is currently seeking preference information from this database in regards to gaming and is already in talks with online retailers concerning direct marketing.
